This swallow would have been worn on the shoulder of a musician playing in a signals regimental band. It is in sound condition with some discoloration, moth bites and some tracking. The tresse is a silver ribbed stripe and the backing is an orange cloth. The bottom of the shoulder board is trimmed with the same silver. The reverse is lined in
