Miss Sarah Elizabeth Birdsall Otis, however, chose the medium of collage: scraps of wallpaper, gilded trim, colored in cut outs of furniture, and engravings from mail order catalogs, all glued down unselfconsciously in book form with no regard for scale or realism.
